Coding Dojo Secures $10M in Venture Debt Funding


Coding Dojoa Bellevue, Wash.-based global education technology company secured $10 million in non-dilutive venture debt financing.

Eastward Capital Partners provided the financing.

This new credit facility will accelerate the company’s growth and support several initiatives, including enhancements to key features of its proprietary learning management system, accelerating the organization’s international expansion and ongoing improvements of its programs and the science of learning.

Led by Richard Wang, CEO, Coding Dojo is an educational technology company that offers a full three-stack computer programming bootcamp, as well as courses in data science, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies. The curriculum and learning management system are designed to train students to become self-directed developers, regardless of their technical background. The company has campuses in several US cities, as well as online programs.

In addition to its B2C business, Coding Dojo provides Bootcamp solutions as a service to its B2B partners through corporate trainings, franchisees, as well as licensing their platform to businesses, governments, colleges, etc

The company currently operates in 11 countries through these partnerships and will leverage this funding to further expand into more than 24 countries around the world by the end of 2022.
